I think from now on I will be measuring and not relying on the window.
The measuring technique is great, but only if you drain the exact same amount of oil out each time.
Scenario 1. You remove your sump plug when your engine is hot and you let it drain over night. You also remove and clean the screen which allows the last 50ml of oil to drain resulting in the entire 1200ml drained.
Scenario 2. You remove your sump plug when your engine is cold and you only let it drain for 2mins. You don't remove the screen. You only drain out 1150ml.
Using scenario 1, adding the 1200ml should work out perfect with the oil level half way up the window. Using scenario 2, you may still have 50ml of oil left in your engine, so adding the 1200ml would mean you have 1250ml. After only a few services, you engine oil will be overall and you original problem will return.
The oil level sight glass is there for a reason. USE IT !!! Just only fill it up to the recommended level.
