Adrian from Northside Motorcycle Tyres and Service (https://www.facebook.com/NorthsideMotoa ... es?fref=ts) let me ride his racebike. It was awesome, I couldn't believe the power difference to my poor old DRZ. It has a quick shifter set-up for flat up changes, a slipper clutch and ridiculous front brake set-up among other things.
I have ridden a mates WR450 on the trails, it's power isn't impressive like the CRF450R. I actually didn't like the WR, I preferred the DRZ's plusher suspension and forgiving seat for casual trail riding.
Out on the supermoto track you get sore arms from holding on under acceleration, forcing the bike through corners and holding yourself back under heavy braking. Bike comfort doesn't come into it
if you liked the crf it's about time you tried my postie.... your closer to the ground and you get the same rush with that feeling your going too fast to make any corner :O and are wondering when the breaks are bout to fail.

I still like the DRZ as a low maintenance trail bike. But I wonder if I should sell it's supermoto set-up and get an unregistered supermoto race bike. Then I wonder if I should just put a big bore kit in the DRZ....
