Post RMX 250 wasp lives again / murphys creek
Thanks Wozfoz for letting me buy his spare 97-200 RMX 250 magneto and coil as both mine were totally munched
after the magnets let loose on the last ride doin the beerburrum challenge.
Also spent some time getting all the ultra bright LED head lights workin and added some more brake bling
like 2 x little bake light skulls with glowin red eyes in tandem with the brake lights.
Yeah I know too much time and corny but what the hell !!!
RMX 250 wasp is now ready for another ride.

Murphys Creek ride was nearly 2 weekends ago sept 14/15 That I did on the rmx300.
What an awsome ride with a wide variety of terrains and hard or easy means not easy and some of the hills were F#@kin hard.
I got stuck on 1 hard hill and looped the bike x3 times trying to get up it. finally got up after x7 goes and
sat up top too watch many others fly up and many more fall back down = great entertainment.
Was Probably one of the most technical of any rides ?I have done and I can see why it got cancelled after rain = bogfest clay sliding -
most bikes would go in but me thinks not many would come back out.
It was bad enuff in dry dusty hot weather with bikes cookin and plenty of offs and bike damage = great ride -
on my must do list of rides and definatly in the top 5 for the year!

Nice bike
do the RMX's have an automatic oil mixer or do you have to mix the oil in with the fuel manually?

premix - 40 to 1 - basically its almost the same as a 96-98 RM 250 except with lights indicators - a wide ratio gears & a toned down powerband with a heavier fly wheel. awsome torquay motor

Its a bit thirsty for the cape york rides - it is a 2 stroke.
but yes I have down many 100-120+ km rides over various wet dry hilly rutt and bog rides.
great power - 97-200 models are the best and a good one goes for around $2 - $2.5k
rekon you can get an easy 120 - 150 km of serious bush bashin out of a full tank.
plenty of info online - one of Australia,s most purchased bikes in its day.
now over 15 yrs old but still very competative and of course registerable for the state forests!
yes im biased :headbang
