Post zacman needs a bigger bike.
Watching zac today he needs a bigger bike.I tried him on a klx110 it was all good on our flat track at home but in the hill paddock if he dropped it it's to heavy for him.
So if anybody know's of a ttr90 let me know please.
It's not the power he will struggle with its the weight.

cheers steve.

They don't do TTR 90 anymore, but still a few around. Yami just try to push the PW80 on you (fat ugly bike).
I bought my boy (5yrs) a TTR50 to upgrade off his PW for Chrissie. Once he starts to out grow engine I will look at the 88cc kit for the TTR. If Zacman is not to tall for the TTR50, you can pick them up for $1599 (bought one at that price last month, plus kids Yami gift pack), and do the hop up for less than $500. Same can be done CRF50 for around same price. Could you upgarde the suzi engine?
None of the bigger 4 strokes have any better suspension etc to make them a huge step up for the price they want.
I didn't want to go mini 2 stroke cause I live on acreage and wanted kids to be able to ride at home without annoying neighbours, plus I do heaps of trail riding with my boy and just wanted a bike that went and didn't need rebuilds after 10hrs. 10hrs use is a normal weekend ride for us. He clocked 170km on his PW last weekend.

BertyS,
Zac is 6yrold 32kg and 138 cm tall so he needs a seat height of 650+.His drz70 seat height is 560cm and his knees are up near the bars.If u check out his ride report u will see what i mean.

He has ridden a 110 with ease but it was a weight issue for him.Today i have rang 11(yes) dealers from sunshine coast to grafton and the prices for a new klx110 started at $3650.
But i have got the local dealer down to $3000 ride away(he is not very happy but).
So thanks for the input, looks like ness and me keep our bikes for a bit longer and zacman might get a xmas present.

cheers steve.

P.S My shed will now look like a kwakka shop 3 of these and 1 lonely berg.

All good steve. I thought he looked pretty big for the suzi.
Great price on the KLX. Some good new bike deals at present.

Happy days for Zacman! - Chrissie present?

I think you and me are the only ones who have our kids in their ride reports.
Great to ride and enjoy such a brillant sport with your kids.

Thanks BertyS
Zacman has his own little enduro track at home so he is quite competent on a bike.
There is a old quarry not far from home we go to also.Pic of last time we were there.

cheers steve.

Heres JackyS attacking on his PW. You can show Zacman that he is not the only kid on TRA.

I had a 2.5km enduro loop cut in at home, which is still abit of handful for him as it is on a steep hill and some parts have consequences. Will be great for when him and his little bro get a bit older. Neighbours live on 40 and 100aces each side and there houses are no where near our track, but still decided to be considerate and keep kids on 4 strokes, well except the PW :D .

You could pimp out the DRZ70 Steve. There are heaps of aftermarket bits you can get to make it suit taller riders. Even Adults ride around on them.

Hey BertyS,
I bet that jackyS was tired after all those ks.
Zacman fell asleep about 10 mins after i left the rctb.
He must have done at least 120 laps of the kids track and 2 of the novice track.
Maybe we need a kids section because i know zacman likes to read whats happening on tra.
This could include photo's and vids of kids but without the BS.

cheers steve.

Yep Steve, he is normally asleep before we have even driven out the gate of the ride park.
Kids have amazing stamina while on the bike, and kick up a fuss when you want to leave, but get them in their seat and the eyes quickly shut.
Pity the poor old driver can't do the same.
You get home and they bounce out of their seat and tear inside for snacks and TV, while once again Dad gets bikes off trailer, washes and sorts all the ride gear, to finally walk through the door to be asked "whats for dinner?"

The riding is the fun part, even if in 2nd gear all day. Its all the other parts that wear you out by the end.

A kids or family report section would be good as most of my ride reports are family orientated, with kids and wife photos.

Nice photo.

The klx110 will be good.
It will be ridden at least 3 days a week plus a good wack of most saturdays.
It's not performance i am after its ease of maintence, reliabilty over time and also never been a big fan of the 2 banger.I hope to get 2yrs out of this next bike.

thanks all cheers steve.
