Just asking around to see what people do to stop the wind noise on a drift hd170?

pick a decent music track to go with your vid.

Seriously there is an inherent issue with the drifts as the wind rush comes from the whole body of the unit so measures to over come are hit and miss.

PM Dags as he is best at describing how to fix. (he sells em BTW).

I know you can try to make the mic independant of the housing IE separate it from the rest of the parts that vibrate with the wind with a touch of silicone and add an internal wind sock.

BUT works for some dont work for others.

note you will have to open the unit.

The HD170 units are the worst for wind rush unfortunatly

wind sock on the mic on the inside. just get a headphone wind sock and pull the drift apart and you will see where the mic is, pull it out of where it's inserted place the windsock around it with a small zip tie and close it all up again!

i have zero wind noise with my drift.
