Got myself one for this weekend.
Now what video resolution mode should I be shooting in. On my previous camera I set it to 720. Should I do the same with this?
Cheers,
Sunny.

You have to think about view angle and resolution on the new one. I prefer the wide view angle, it looks less jiggly over bumps. 1080p is the best resolution if you have enough SD card to store it.

The old gopro was wide angle at 720p and normal angle at 1080p. The new one does whatever you like.

Got a 32 gig card. If I shoot it at 1080 will it use more battery? Will they be ridiculously big files on my computer?
Sorry aint really into reading manuals.

it will use the battery heaps

It will have huge file sizes.

the vids will be hard to play on old computers. need a new computer to play and edit well. (say last 3 years old??)

The vids will look AWSOME. On Vimeo on youtube On your large screen tv

Try some on 1080 some on 720

My 2c

try a few settings ???
