Post Lost Go Pro, What next?
Lost my go pro at glasshouse on Sunday and even though my wife thinks that fun is over I may be in the market for another one.
My Go Pro took some big hits, so was happy with its durability.
Anyone got the Go Pro 2?
What other ones should I consider?
Have a spare Go Pro battery and chest harness so as long as that works with new one that is a bonus.

Did you check out the gopro hero2 thread on here?

I am going to buy one, just waiting for the prices to settle. Most places are selling them for more than the RRP. The cheapest prices for the new and old gopro's is actually the gopro website store. The only problem is the gopro shipping from the US is fedex and a bit expensive.

Just check rockymountainatv, they have them for the RRP but none in stock. Their shipping is $10 cheaper than gopro. They also sell the gopro hero naked which would replace your lost one, $199US plus shipping.

PFFT
The go pro is the single biggest waste of money for an action sports camera
check this out
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mini-DV-Wire ... 650wt_1270
for 11 dollars you can buy HEAPS and have a video from every angle

Go pro owners are suckers :D

sorry travop but they are absolute crap.
I got one for xmas last year.
the quality of the footage is rubbish
it only has a small view
the batterys don't last
the sd card only works when it wants to and its the size of a large ant.
and it lasted one ride before deciding it did not like vibrations.
yes they are cheap but imo very CHEAP AND NASTY.

cheers steve occasion18 occasion18 he he

Whatever you decide to buy next, Can I suggest a simple retaining device like this will probably save you losing another one

It has saved mine a few times.
Here's a demonstration I prepared earlier.

there is also the contour roam. simple cheap waterproof good vid quality but some wind rush.

sunny any cam you get without a case will have wind rush.
might have slightly better pic quality but wind rush will be there just ask steve. shaneo has it just less.

gopro has the best audio
Don has by far and away the best advice with the tether.

You are hooked now arent you???

Maybe Simon I am.
Leaning towards the Go Pro 2 although the 1080 have got quite inexpensive.
For me being a hack is the go pro 2 going to be much better for me.
At the moment I record in 720 mode, will I be able to record in a higher definition without needing a new computer?
Did look at the ad and it does look awesome.
Cheers.
