Post Re: Logan Village
There are some areas off wodenbong that are legal if reg and lic's.It is going to be protralled alot soon,as the lismore area has just got 4 new police trail bikes.
I know this because one off my riding buddies is a cop in this area. These police are not to worried about lights but rego and licence are a must if you get caught.
These 4 bikes are for ridings areas from lismore, casino, kyogle, wodenbong, urbenville and murwillumbah.
If you think you can outride them try if you want but they can ride.
All we do when we see any rangers or cops is stop as we are quite happy to chat to them to keep them on side.
Back to wodenbong area there is a small state forest about 15mins south off wodenbong called umangar state forest, its run off summerland way.
You get into it by taking GLEN ROAD which is about 5ks south(summerland way to kyogle) off the T intersection where the table is on wodenbong-beaudesert rd.
Follow this for about 5mins then turn left into BRUMBY PLAIN road.Dont worry about not seeing any forest it is there.
Follow this road for about 5ks do not turn off it.When you get to the grid keep going until u get to a T intersection and unload the bikes there.
If you are after a quite area this is it only small but worth a look.
It would be worth going to a BCF or camping shop and getting a deparment off lands map off the umanger/wodenbong area.
They are about $10.00.

Hope this helps . Steve.

Cheers for all the info Steve we are all lic/reg so no probs there and yes we would just stop and have a chat with the cops/rangers as would want to keep them on side also. Just trying to give ourselves some more options for rides down this way. Might get a map also ! Cheers again for the info and we should catch up for a ride when you get the posted ride you have, up and running !

In answer to your enquiry below re Plunkett Conservation Park.
Unfortunately, motorised vehicles are strictly forbidden on this estate.
I realise that illegal access is occurring in some instances, however,
this area is regularly patrolled by QPWS Rangers and Police with severe
fines issued to individuals caught traversing with motorised vehicles.
The land surrounding Plunkett is private property owned by Delfin so I
would suggest that you obtain their permission to enter and ride your
bike. South of Brisbane there are several reserves where motorbike
activity is permitted. Between Beaudesert and Boonah, the new Wyaralong
Dam Precinct is now available for such activities. Please visit the
following web site for more information http://www.seqwater.com.au A private
park is known as Black Duck Valley out by Gatton. Also visit
http://www.sportrec.qld.gov.au/trailbikes and info@seqtrailbikes.qld.gov.au for
further info on where to ride. Hope this helps.
cheers

has anyone tried to ask delfin for permission?
Maybe someone could get permission for TRA to run some rides on the property considering we're not wankers like those tools you see tearing up the trails on MX bikes nearly killing other riders
