Post The do i trust the husky ride.
Went for a ride from dads with ness on crapsky today.Nearly 80ks and all was well but whats that old saying about chickens and hatching. dontknow
I am going out for a hard ride on sat so do i take the brand new crapsky as it will be a bit tight in places or the old berg that has done 18,000 ks and never stopped ?
I would like to take crapsky to get some ks on it so i can maybe trust it not to stop so ness can go on some beginners rides but this ride is all big hills and i don't wont to be pushing a bike out of here.

Anyway a vid off todays ride which would have been great for a fast ride track was perfect.

Ness you are riding really well!

need to duct tape your feet to the pegs though, The first broken toe will convince you this is such a great idea!!

Great job.

Steve wipe lens often!

Steve have you asked your MUCH better half if you can use her bike on the weekend??? She might like to ride it instead...

Simon you really don't want that "BMHusky" back now do you.
I did ask if ness would like to ride with us,then i showed here the terrain and she declined politely.Look up barwon downs vic on google earth and check out the hill's.
I need to tame the husky down a bit for ness for a while i think so might put 47/48 tooth rear on.It has got massive bottom end power.

Where i rode for the vid is only 2ks off riding from dads to forest so will take ness out there on sunday (might put zacmans klx110 in ute a take him as well).

Hi Steve,

Taming down the husky for Ness.

I thought I'd let you know what was done to mine it may help.

Stuart put a smaller sprocket on the front and at the first service had it remapped to slow it down for me which made a big difference to my riding the bike.
It"s a lot more user friendly to me especially in the tight stuff. I'm still getting use to it but ever time I go out riding I'm getting better. The ladies ride was a great day out so I look forward to meeting Ness at the next one or at a beginners ride.

Cheers
Leanne

Thanks leanne,
Did not even think about remapping it.But great idea as at the moment ness is still very wary of that throttle response (but i love it).
Hopefully will get her up there for a ride sooner rather than later. Also if you every want to try one of my easy rides more than welcome.

cheers steve.

if you are going to change the front sprocket dont go the smallest one avail, i think its a 12 tooth. it wears through your swingarm guide in no time and starts to chew the swingarm
