Post Re: lakeside motard
the postie gets more lean angle then that :D

it's a pretty good little track. ill aim to get there sometime this year i think. at this point i need to split the case on the postie and fix a oil leak which has appeared because of lack of use i believe :D lol

Kim & Glen run a good show and keep it all safe.

how did you like it Wes ?

It was great, with a good bunch of people. icon_thumright

I'd love to see the postie in action :) I was scraping the peg sliders and boots in some corners, I don't think it wanted to lean much more! The front was starting to slide and chatter in some corners, and the back was sliding around in places too. confused2

:D

Post Re: lakeside motard
thats not me riding the postie there either, that was the 2nd time it went out with std edition postie tyres and the pegs where too low

it does get a bit scary when you start pushing it on some of the corners.

Good work guys looks like heaps of fun I would love to try it oneday.we have a new gocart track in town and I've heard they will allow motard will have to ask. I spose it's pretty costly to set a bike up for motard that is set up for dirt.

It can be cheap if you keep your eyes open for good deals. I bought my rims complete with brake discs, sprocket and tyres for $500 2nd hand. Then all you need to do the track day is the axle and footpeg sliders, which are cheap from the UK on ebay.

5:20 slow down, KTM 690 SMC (Jiri) and mini moto - (Jason T) come past, wait for Matt

This is my first attempt at a video with chrono data on it. I logged my laps during the day using TrackMaster (~$8 from Google Play) on my Samsung Galaxy S2 using the internal 1Hz GPS. I then converted the chrono data using Racechrono2avi (free). I merged the 2 videos using Race Render (free version which adds the watermark).

I don't think I have the correct laps for the chrono data, but it's pretty close.

The next SWS track day is this Saturday. I've upgraded to a 320mm front disc as I was getting cramps in my braking hand with the 250mm dirt disc. Plus it was making some weird noises and it went a weird overheated metal colour.

Took the bike for a spin around the hood, there's a big difference in the front brake, it's awesome now. Good for stoppies.

Oh, and I did a late 90's KTM fork blade conversion to get rid of the old fashion DRZ fork boots.
