Your not wrong about built tough. I have no idea when the last service was and that sand trap had it bouncing off limited a fair bit and i have been through there a few times. If it was the car it would have a cry about it like it use to before i put it back to stock form.

tri-polar I wouldn't pour to much money into the klx..at the end of the day it's still an overweight, poorly sprung trailbike..ok to start with..then sell it and move to a purpose built enduro

KLX250 's and bouncing off the rev limiter go hand in hand !! I use to have a 1993 KLX250 and it survived nearly everything I could try to punish it with , use to put the heeby jeebies up some old riding mates who all had 250 MX two strokes and have me on their tail every where (until they hit a straight) but yeah great little bikes they are if I owned one today I'd just get the suspension done and ride it cuase you know it'll just keep going!!!

Lol, yet ill have a hard life, but will be looked after just as much.

So today i spent some time stuffing around with the new head light. As i dont do night riding im still tossing up if i should make a spacer for the bottom mounts so it levels the lights out abit. But its mounted in there and using the stock speedo. Had to make some room for it, but it is certain that the stock headlight wont go back in unless i replace the speedo bracket.

You'll notice the difference in the steering with that big lump of glass missing.

coming along well there Jessie.....once you get the suspension set for your weight you'll be able to charge harder as the bike won't pike out or pogo like a 30 year old volvo....you'll be pleasantly surprised just how much better it will feel.

Cheers guys. Everything else for it is coming from the states, except some heavy duty tubes. I have no idea what tubes are in the bike so iv been running a higher PSI the whole time. Ill call suspension matters tomorrow to find out when i can drop the bike in to get done. As apparently i have to do fridge hill / powerbox hill / big arse hill this weekend.

Well the bike is back together. Heres 2 pics. I didnt wanna double post so im just editing this one.

So went to put a new o-ring on the oil filter cover today to stop the new leak it had got after changing the filter, then it just got worse from here on out. I should have just let it leak so i could have gone riding tomorrow but instead i had to fix it. So i had to order a new one from the states, along with 5 genuine o-rings so i know ill always have the correct fitting o-rings so this problem may not happen again.

Yea, i think it has something to do with me and motors. Everything i get my hands on is in perfect condition. Then shit rolls down hill no matter how much i look after it. So using my knowledge as a commodore owner, i made a temp fix for tomorrow. It was ones a HID ballest bracket. Then out with the dremel and gasket goo, i may have won.
