This is my '87 XL 185.

Won't be for much longer though as I'm buying something much more modern at the end of the year, but this bike has taught me everything I know about riding.

I grew up riding a Honda CT185, same motor. I rebuilt that thing many times, it liked to break :D

The first pic is actually my brother riding...

No idea mate! I'll be moving to Canada at the end of next month to live with my girlfriend for a couple of months - and she said for christmas she'll buy me whatever bike I want from a shop near her place, and so I've gotta wait and see what there is!

My preference is either a KTM or Yamaha, or if the dude doesn't have any of them then Kwaka or Suzuki. 250 four stroke would be ideal, don't wanna go straight from a 25 year old 185 to a brand new 450 - I'd get messed up pretty quick if I did haha :D

This bike hasn't broken on me once! And I thrash it pretty hard haha :) Only time it didn't start was because the spark plug died - lesson learned - don't buy cheap spark plugs haha

On your new bike you will need spiked tyres for riding on ice

Nah mate too cold to ride on the ice!! haha. Summer should be good though - ripping up some dirt on the snakey trails through the pine forest mountains ;)
