Bike is fixed!
Called Paul Feeney Group on mon 11th and explained situation and told that how much scumstate sucked and that I felt sick owning a husky. The fellow at Paul Feeney assured me this was top priority and was going to get onto scumstate. Tuesday afternoon he called me and told all new parts were sent. Called Scumstate who were a little shirty at me for getting PFG involved and asked them whether the bike was ready for weekend and they would do there best.
In the end it was a faulty ecu unit and since they had not updated the computer with 2010 info it was not reading faulty BangHead
Repairs were new kickstart, decomp cam, speedo, ecu unit and yuasa battery. I also got a dual mapping switch which they installed at no cost. Only problem is nothing is coming up on speedo to show whether on or off.
Did 140klms today from Yandina to kenilworth and bike was awsome. Exploring Kenilworth was hard work as all the good tracks led to snotty hill climbs or dodgy downhills. Really happy with bike and hopefully don't have to see sunstate again.
Cheers,
Sunny.

The Saga continues.

The battery which was replaced, under warranty has shit itself after 750ks of riding, wont recharge. Go to scumstate but only get 2 weeks warranty on battery the Paul feeney group says. What the phark I thought you got 12 months. So get a price to buy same battery, Yuasa, as the battery the bike comes with is not suitable BangHead . It's price is $197.00 so I go buy one for $50.00 dontknow
Next problem is the fuel light has bee n coming on at 40klm instead of 70 and then the bike becomes hard to start. All I have to do Is put a bit more fuel and it restarts. So the fuel pump must have a sensor on it and get confused. Thought I could live with that for one more ride before I throw bike Through Scumstate door.
So I organise this weekend to takemy wife and son out for mothers day on saturday so I get a ride in Sunday. Drive down to glasshouse and elect to lead a few boys on a loop. Get 8ks into it and drop the bike on a hillclimb. Thats it day over bike wont start. After a lot of stuffing about we get bike out with tow rope.
Have already had issues with Scumstate and Paul Feeney but either of them ring me back.
Should I burn this bike? Is there a bikesales ombudsman I can go through to pharking resolve this?
Any advice appreciated.
When the bike is going I love it but there is to much uncertainty.
Sunny.

mate there is an issue with the fuel pump coming adrift in the tank.

so they run low early.

Rian had this issue. PM him as its an easy fix and by the sound of it perhaps for your sanity you would be best to fix this yourself???

If you can get familiar with the issue then you will have a better cahnce of getting the thing going again on the side of the track.

I know both Chris and rian both have had issues with the fuel pump and rain fied it by dissasembling and refitting the pump then adding cableties to hold the pump in place.

what happend to him is the pump came adrift and suddenly he was only getting about 50kays range (I think.)

so if you are game have a look in the tank as you might be able to sort it.

It sucks as this fault is posted often. BUT cant think of any others.

as to the battery well could there have been a drain on it??? I would leave the new one dissconected between rides if there is a decent break.

Husky have just dropped their price on a 450 to $10,990.......

i'm so glad i didn't go for a te510 since reading all the hassles you've had sunnie! battery should be cover for 12 months by manufactor sorted by dealer!

you could speek to dept of fair trading and the MTAQ maybe call/consider taking it to full throttle in brissy when i was dealing with them they seemed to give 2 shits,

or call ACA and today tonight get a big sign and protest outside there shop we could do a tra park out protest! icon_thumright

You are dead right Redhot I don't know why I can not get the battery replaced. I will pursue this further. It is just getting annoying to be forever driving to Sunstate as the workshop manager Simon never returns my calls. I must go in person to corner him.
When I saw Ditchwitch post that ride up I was keen but I don't like doing too many klms away from vehicle because I am worried of what the TE 450 will do. Will it get me home?
I have told Paul Feeney group that if I am not contacted by monday afternoon by either parties with a solution I will seeking legal advice. Whether this gets anyones attention who knows.
The way I was feeling today Ditchwitch ACA and the Courier Mail were on my list.
Cheers
Sunny

The fuel pump issue was an 08 or 09 issue and should have been sorted by now but it is a warranty issue and as far as I know a PD fix prior to sale even last year. I will show this thread to Kurt, it is the first time I have seen it Sunny.

After a number of phone calls, a bit losing my cool and regretfully dealing with Sunstate I convinced them to look at the bike on Monday. Cracka was right fuel pump was set up for 09 model BangHead . Paul Feeney Sent one up immediately without even processing warranty probably just to shut me up.
Paul Feeney group also recommended that I take it to Full throttle in Brisbane, that is how much faith they have in scumstate.
Was told it was fixed on Thursday ready to go. Ask if they have been riding it and to give it a decent test ride. Get phone call back, bike stopped again. Now it is going to Paul Feeney.
Can't wait to ring them tomorrow.
Anyone know of anyone with a 2010 TE450?
Like to know how it is going. Have I got a lemon?
Cheers,
Sunny

hey sunny, sorry oto hear of yer woes.. have ye tried a post over on http://www.cafehusky.com dontknow

husky specific site and a few dealers that ride are ever-present and on hand and know all about i-beat and the FI system on the husky.. worth a punt mate cos most of the knowledge isnt in the dealership, its on these type of sites.. worth a look dude !

i love the husky's and a firm believer that the issue's are easily sorted by people who have a clue... ie, NOT scumstate...
