Theres nothing wrong with them. Theres just not a lot that stands out with them. They just havent been updated since around 07 from what i understand. i have and 08 klx. Spent a bit of money on it to make it go but otherwise an unbreakable deal. Lots of torque down low but signs off pretty quick up top. You can pic good secondhand ones up with less than 1000ks for around the high 6k low 7k mark. Unless they update them significantly soon i wouldnt get another one simply for the fact the euro bikes are really upping the ante in the development steaks. I reckon the WR will get a big upgrade in 2012. My 08 model was my first bike so i dont really have too much to compare it to. But i have made it the way i like it now and i'll say with for another 12 months before upgrading. My pick would be a RMX if they had adr out of the jap bikes. Then again they are claiming the ktm 350 to have 46 hp with the feel of a 250. could be worth a look. Would be interesting to see a torque comparision between a 350 and 450.

Yeah I've got one done 3000km now still chugs along. One bad point is carby access well thats a massive job to get it out and back in - absolutely no room in there and the airbox boot is quite hard to get back on properly although I reckon having a set of long right angle pointy nose pliers might help. Valve wear is ok just reshimmed the inlets at the 3000km mark for the second time and still have plenty left. Suspension is set up for a 50 kg lite weight so spring it up if your a big unit like me. Might look at a KX500 motor to stick in the chassis one day if I get adventurous enough!!! But not a bad unit but as above if the RMX450Z had ADR I'd be jumping ship real quick !!!
