Post Hey I am ready where to
Hey.
Back riding after a 7 year break. hello2
Where to ride the big question. I am on the Gold Coast and looking to hook up with some keen enduro riders so I can get to grips with where to ride in Aus (legal). I am from South Africa so have no clue where the trails are here.
My favorite racing in SA was Hare Scrambles which I think here are known as the Pony Express.
Got to mention I am a big 2 stroke fan and my bike is registered.

Welcome Beaker

As I understand it not much legal riding on the Goldie but just to the south places like Woodenbong and Urbenville have some great riding. Darryl from the Woodenbong Pub runs some rides and is a great guy too. Failing that LOTS of riding on the southern end of the Sunshine Coast at Beerburrum and Glasshouse. Bit of a drive but well worth it. Having a rego bike is a HUGE advantage.

Where on the Goldie are you Beaker?

I'm in Upper Coomera - generally make the trip to beer, Kenil etc etc....nowhere worthwhile on the GC mate.

Never been to Woodenbong....really should go one day.

There is also QMP, about 50 minutes out past Beaudesert .

Cheers m8

Dont mind a bit of a drive for a good ride. Thanks for the tips.
Hey smitty74 I am near Pacific Pines and I am keen to hook up with someone or a group when they go riding in any of these areas.
I have room for 2 bikes easy and 3 with a squeeze.
Have ridden Qmp, okay but reacon it is more suited for the mx boys the trials are okay but pretty certain in the trail side there r much better places.

Hey ho - im in Benowa on the GC -
I go up to beerburrum at least once or twice a month if i can.
Yes its a drive + tolls and 2 hrs there and sometimes up too 3 hrs back depending on traffic.

Great blokes - Good riding - Challenging and flowing = A bit of both.
Q- rides are usually early 7.30 starts
so it means leaving the GC at 5.30 so how keen are ya!!

also fellow 2 stroker - RMX 250 - and pimped RM 300

I just got back from weekend riding south in NSW at coffs harbour with some mates -
Was great riding - Sat 4 of us did 110 km = full rmx tank just made it back on reserve.
Im flogged as its just too far to go to ride ive decided.
nearly all day fri to drive down via pick up mates drive there and set up camp!
and the same back nearly all day sun = All for 1 days riding -
Its the price ya pay livin and riding on the GC!!!
Also makes the 2 hrs drive to beerburrum worth every minute!!

Braaaaap.

Hey 5.30 in the morning piece of cake if we are talking about going riding.
Beerburrum sounds like the place to start.
Well confidentially the tolls and fuel well lets say I work for a great company with a van, room for 3 bikes max prefer keeping it to 2.
Time to team up and go for a good ride. :headbang

Riding in SE QLD is it best to leave my indicators on and what about these folding mirrors are they necessary.
Kind of unsure on the legal mumbo as to what the bikes need. Also I have my rego tucked in my air box should that be displayed.
I suppose it depends on where but lets start with Beerburrum
dontknow

Not sure what the police would do,but i never run any adr gear on my bike except headlight sometimes, never been fined when stopped out there, but i suppose it all depend how the cop is when stopping you.
