Hey Boys, Been sitting quietly in the background for a while...Nobody likes a whinger!, Anyone made a comeback to riding from tendon surgery in the wrist? Been putting up with the bitch for 8 or so months and havnt been able to ride for 5 or so now, just had the surgery in a last ditch effort to fix dontknow from what I hear results can vary, 5 or so weeks to go before I can even get back on the machine for work. Might have to sell the bike yet to get through the time off but if not Id like to get back on it..Any tips

Yeh been a shit year Simon, got the second under control with meds. The wrist has been a shit o a thing, tried riding in a wrist brace about 4 or 5 months back or a couple of rides but it kept flaring up worse after, so to keep earning had to give the big girl a rest. Ill be sure to jump on a ride with ya the minute I can swing the leg and twist the throttle again

4 years ago i had nearly 12 months off work with tendons in my left elbow !!

couldnt put hand in pocket or drive the truck .. still burns now all way down arm from elbow if i move it to fast .. so i have customized my life differantly to what it was before..

Pretty much sounds a similar thing Harry, Couldnt turn a door knob, hand in pockets etc, Bit hard to change the life though, what caused it is operating the machine and the pressure on the wrist(tendons) caused by it, the surgery opened up the sheath that they run through now it has to grow back with scar tissue to fill the void and make its diameter larger to let the tendons slide through. So its all about recovery and things that may make it easier now, thinking about looking into the flexx bars atm..

you will have to do what i did just take the time off work let others do the work for u and except what they make u is better than nuthing..

have u got personal injury / income protection ? i did .. still got the coin even though i had the crew working.. Cause i was insured for meself , after all the usual bullshit they paid up , arms wiped off insurance now though so is hand from bike incident.. and knee from all me dancing injuries... like i did not even tell em bout me knee but they wrote me a letter saying we not covering ur knee dontknow why ill fight that another day we i get the operation on it...
