Post DT's caged WR250F....
Well here she is, my 2001 WR250F....still pissed that I missed out on the last Xmas ride after getting crook as it would have been the first real ride she would have been on....I need some help to get her out on the trails on Sundays... BangHead

She used to be owned by a bloke who works at Serco, and has some nice internals, oversize discs, alloy and carbon fibre bits here and there, and she doesn't need leccy leg either despite the aggo jetting and tune. I've decked her with new rims / spokes recently, and no she is not for sale.....

cheers guys....rabs she has rad guards, but they are not full wrap jobbies, but they stop the rads from getting damaged / busted up in a crash.

Aggro - means a tweaked head, dunno the specifics but she had some trick new valves / seats installed prior to me buying it....as for jetting it runs the biggest mainjet I've seen in a 250 (forgot the actual spec tho, have to pull the bowl off again... dontknow), had all the carb / airbox set up correctly to suit the DEPP YZF pipe by serco before I got it. Its still a bit of a mechanical learning curve for me, coming from 2 strokers but it almost has that same twist and zig feel in the tight stuff, but barks deeply instead of going ring ding ding

wring its neck, they sound ring ding ding when flogged ! they area hoot of a ride ! 8-) its bloody tidy for a 2001 ! and rad guards will stop the tree branch going through them ! it wil happen eventually and guards are 100 bucks, rads are 360 each OEM and chinese ones are 160 so worth fitting frontal guards too and not just side braces !

Yeah her last owner was a big believer in the theory that it goes 20kph faster with all the stickers.....looking to get some new rear plastics and graphics down the track, but given my previous history I only wreck new stuff first ride out... bootyshake

The older Two stage Vortex were the best IMO, have both the x10 and the 2 stage on my old girl and the 2 stage is far better

Back on topic but Nice to see mate, really clean.

Thanks ktmw....could be keen down the track, have to get a shim kit first, something like $100 plus postage off e-bay. Gotta watch the budget as the minister for finance has been watching my $$$ spend after splurging on rims, spokes and other bits I've been buying lately  . She goes pretty hard now though, dunno just how much more the vortex would deliver....but I'm interested
