As my ex fitted this steering dampner to the bike i can tell you that it was fitted in 06 and that it was from a KTM 525 that was probably only a couple of years old back then, but thats all i know about it unfortunately.

Dampener needs to come off n Bar raisers need to go on, atm Handle bars lean to close towards body and when standing it's like ends of bars are hitting knees..
'
'this is just my extensive thought after riding the bike today, I think Donna mentioned to me last time i rode it over 12 months ago bars needed raising , i thought not much of it, but now as i do like to stand more than sit, i can see where she is coming from...Hard to stand and control a bike with current setup , wander if dampener can be changed somehow or new bracket dontknow

Yeah great idea thanks icon_thumright , Royce being nearly as tall as me must struggle bad like it is, once i got my bits off Yamdan for my bike it totally changed it, Kato needs the same.. Just makes a ride easy or easyer,

yeah stupid keep it simple.. evil6

i think higher bend bars would be better. they do look like they are in a weird position i dont know how you's ride with them.
im sure you could allways cut the dampner part of and extend it slightly too... but thats more effort

can cut the dampener rod , it is welded to the frame, i shifted bars forwards last night even that made a big differance on ....
