Hori there is an Throttle stop they pull out, a snorkle and a restricter in the pipe as far as I know.

Dont think it takes long to do.

The rejetting takes a while as the carb is hard to get to.

cheers ...

The re jetting would take sum time as carby would prolly have to be removed...sort of thing you do yourself when your not thinking of riding next week ay..

I presume this de-restricting would also play with warranty ??

Did you de-restrict the drz when you bought it Simon??

i know you changed the end cap on the exhaust.. and did the airbox hose thingy mod....

i paied 11,200 de-restricted ride away at enoggera with the first service and greese up free, plus i get large discounts on thing i buy there now. and just above cost on parts, oil, clothing. i was in there today and bought a new pair of oakly crowbar goggles and over boot pants goggles where $109 priced walked them out for $74 and pants where $180 and got them for $135.
when i bought the bike i told them i didnt want to pay full price if i shoped here for things. worked out well for me.

I m looking at a secondhandy now , I ended up buying a 07 FE 550 pretty cheap 4 k with rekluse Z Pro and steering dampner in great condition ( yep Husaberg resale is up to shit nearly 2 yrs old and dropped 70% off the original purchase $), so I ll buy a 2nd hand WR and have them both for the same pice as a new WR .

All the forum research I ve done shows the 07 550s were just as reliable as a jap bike , I ll soon find out though .

The main issue they had was cooling in single trail , easily fixed with the OEM thermo fan which I bought off ebay from the UK for a third the price the dealerships wanted here , and a coolant overflow tank , why this wasn t standard I don t know .They also shit their valve springs around eight thousand K , easily fixed with a twin valve spring mod thats available ( I have bought this and a full gasket kit cheap from the UK ) I ve only had a short ride on it so far, and its a monster :)

thanks for the replies all

That does sound like a bargain.. and a lot of excitement :o

as for why there is no catch tank or fan standard, how do you think they acheived the 109kg?

May mate steve has that bike. What did ya do for the overflow bottle? he has been looking for a solution for a while.

His has been very reliable. only issue was he turned the head light off as the battery would run down after a time. removing the headlight drain fixed it right up!

I ll post up a pic shortly , tell you mate about Husaberg.org , every trick in the book about bergs , helped me alot so far .

I would say the smart money is on a WR450 for trailriding , but the smile factor goes to the FE 550 , its a bloody awsome machine ,
