Post Stanmore MX Club day
Sunday is the first day of the 2010 motocross season at Stanmore Motorcross club. There is about 10 rounds in the season and if you are over 35, 40 or 45 and attend every round, you have a good chance of having some fun and getting a trophy at the end of the year.

There is a few fast guys and plenty slow guys to race against. There is no longer a trail bike class but the C grade and vets have lots of guys to race against. All you need to race is remove your stand and barkbusters and you will be away (Don't forget to plug your bar ends). Check it out at http://www.stanmoremx.com.au

The track is at Yatala (20 minutes south of Brisbane). It is considered by some to be the best track in Australia.

Thanks Rabs,

Anyone can watch and it is free. But it is not as much fun as racing. Some of the Australia's top 10 riders turn up usually (Not in my races).

looks like they have reduced the number of races to comply with council regs.

Have fun John mate. I will try and get out to watch mate. should be fun.

Is Ross going or will he be tied up with the new wife????

Track is still open. Council added a 5 metre noise wall to make the locals happy and keep the track open.

Simon: Don't think Ross is coming.

Sunday practice days are more busy that Saturdays but both days do get busy. If you are ready to ride at 9am and stay till 3pm you will get about 5 to 7 sessions. Each session is about 15 minutes and is limited to 20 riders. Most people cannot handle that many sessions cos it is physically demanding (if you push yourself).

Entry to the track is limited so it is never crowded but it may be more than an hour between session from 10:30 till 1:30. Race days are better cos you get more sessions if you enter two classes, there is an ambalance on site and fast guys dont go flying past you (unless you get lapped) BangHead
