Post This is why DERM couldn't afford to fix the forestry roads..
After the 2011 floods it took DERM ages to fix and reopen a lot of areas. They said they weren't getting any money from the government. It seems it was all spent on this;

looks pretty, i got enought CO2 bulbs to make a mess of it :D a 56km walking track that takes 4 days to travel by hikers? sounds like a sweet single track to me..

Looks like Mork's egg......rather see Mindy's. ;)

Wonder how many ppl use that track, might be like the upgrades to Mt Mee's carpark for the horse riders...........in 18 years of going up there only came across horses twice....money well spent. icon_thumright

I think you have the wrong walk Shane-O. One of the comments on that article says;

Quote:
Some clarification: the art was commissioned by Arts Queensland not DERM and the rock art is accessible by a 15 minute easy walk from Bouloumba Creek camping area. The 4 Day walk referred to by the Minister is the Sunshine Coast Great Walk that passes by this art.

They should be dragged out in the street and shot, F##K thieving dogs, $700 000 of OUR money for a pile of rocks FFS, shit like this should have to be passed through a public forum to be approved by the taxpayers funding it, what a joke.

cheers
