I strapped it up today. I was a good girl today though rocket! I did half a lap of the MX track n realised that u can't do them slowly or cautiously. So I cut through n took the shortcut home. Jumped on quickly up and down some straights n loved heading out. Few fishies n wheelies later was happy to head home. All in all, about 5 mins on the bike. Enough to know I won't be able to ride for another few weeks atleast.

Obviously the strapping won't make it feel like new. I too just used to ride until it felt sore while in recovery mode. Just take it steady with your recovery and it will get there in time.
I used strapping for 2 years for riding after ankle op. I still used it 6 years later for snowboarding - much more constant pressure on ankle than riding.

Rasing Kids is like being pecked to death by chickens - extremely slow and painful.
