OK - pretty sure everyone knows that I've busted my ankle pretty badly crybaby2 BangHead . I complain about it often enough so you can all feel my pain :director, but only to vent anger since I can't ride!

I'm almost walking on it now and its just getting me more and more peeved off that everyone else is posting that they're having a ball out in the dirt. Sick and tired of sitting at home and watching the world just roll past without the(not so) sweet sound of K75's banger behind me.

Purchases of strapping tape by the box load is being ordered on Shane-o's paypal account (so don't tell him). But has anyone ridden with an ankle brace? My boots are junior sizes, but are almost on the smallest rung on the buckle so there is plenty of room. All I can envisage with the stupid braces is me cracking the pottytrain5's and taking them off anyway.

Opinions? Options? Brands? Worth the time, effort and money?

I know that this will probably end up getting a post from Donna saying wait until it heels properly..... but its stuffed now, might as well make the most of it.

Opinions? Options? Brands? Worth the time, effort and money? How sore is it? If you can get it in a boot then go for it. I suck at following medical advice, but thats just me and I by no means am advocating it for anyone else. I was supposed to be in a splint when I did my PCL and on crutches, and supposed to go see a surgeon, none of which I could stand, so don't look to me for advice. I can't sit still for too long either so I just go with it. If you feel up to a ride then go, if it kills within a couple of mins....then stop...probably too soon?

I know that this will probably end up getting a post from Donna saying wait until it heels properly..... but its stuffed now, might as well make the most of it. But you do sound like you need to get out of ya head, I go crazy having to sit still.
All the best!

Never seen them before, might have to give them a go.
Always thought boots would be enough support, until not long ago. Came off going downhill, somehow my boot ended up under the bike. Foot stopped and I kept rolling. BangHead
