my message to those little bitches is show some farking respect to the blokes who lead , sweep and organise rides , if its too tough say " sorry mate I m out of my depth can you show me the way home " not doint this and crying like a little bitch shows your character .

I m still healing so I don t ride much these days but back when I started riding I went on plenty of rides out of my depth and owe alot to most of the blokes on this site and the other .... I remember one Charlie ride at Mt Mee in the early days that by the end I was so farked Lunatic had to wait for me to get me out of the place , I was rooted ,broken and out of my depth but would have been farking ashamed of myself to complain about the ride grade .....

I ll be back riding very soon , looking forward to making someone complain :)

You related to MANAGER by any chance...........

i think people just need to harden the f$#k up, there is enough helmet cam footage throughout the ride report sections of this site to know what ur going to be up for at the places u ride,

I agree with Andrew .. HTFU

we know our limits .. so dont name up on rides u cant handle..

I can see where Luni is coming from and i do think maybe a terrain grade isnt such a bad idea , but prolly pointless in the end..

No one is holding a gun at anyones head on a hill , cant doit go home ?

there has always been great help for people who are trying these hills .. Even rocket got a hand on trippple step yesterday while Yoda watched on :P

site prolly dont need this sort of contraversy ?

wasnt TRA's Fault that someone bought Knobs to a ride and didnt explain to em what they was in for , it has just wrecked a good weekend this shit hopefully all back on bikes n forgotton bout next saturday arvo around 1pm icon_thumright

i think we do need to use the grade system.

after all Its for the new riders, . not the established riders who already know where they fit in, know the lead and or location and know what to expect.

and i think level 3 is way over used.

think like a newby.
example:
I'm a new to tra rider,
1 - beginner?? no
2 - novice?? no
ill think i'll go 3 - intermediate. sweet thats me.
then he is way out of his league, holds everyone up and has a shitty day.

I'm with ray, maybe 3 levels is the go, after all how often is 1 and 5 used?? never.

1 easy = newbys and beginners.

2 intermediate = average ride, there will be hills, bogholes and some tricky shit but pace turns out to be whatever it ends up being and level 1 riders welcome if they want to push themselves keeping mind the hills, bogs and tricky shit. . . .This is what i'd rank dale's typical beer ride, everybody welcome but tricky shit included.

3 hard = lots of hills, faster pace, fewer stops or high kays. but most important of all is no newbys, beginners or sooks. the rest will sort itself out.

cheers ken.

there is only 2 grades for a ride

1 there is a lead and a sweep and plenty of people in between to help out so if u turn up have a go and dont complain coz if u cant do it someone will help u.

2 if u cant handle ur own shit dont turn up thefinger
