Hey all,

The battery in my wr450 has shat itself by sittle idle for too long and without me charging it.

Now I could spend 60 bucks on a replacement china battery for it or I was thinking of getting something like this:

http://www.hollyhockbatteries.com.au/LH5L_BS.html

Now I'm wondering if anyone has experience with these batteries?

The pros are:
It's lighter
It's more powerful
It can handle a lot more cranks
Takes bugger all to charge if need be
No need to put it on a trickle charger

The cons are it's twice the money of a regular battery.

I'm leaning towards buying it, but was wondering if it's a worthwhile investment for the bike.

Cheers,
Ahmed

Got one in my Husky, had just put one in my old Husky just before it was stolen. No issues with them yet. And with my current Husky not having a kicker, I wanted a good battery... so no power = no EFI and no start on my bike.

Although, the next one I get may well be an EarthX as they have a built in battery management system, and you can then use a standard battery charger on them. Although reading deeper on the SSB website, they can also use a standard battery charger to charge them.

Go the SSB. Also, Hollyhock have good prices and are fast to deliver to. notworthy

I went the 220CCA one as well.
