Post ktm 380 jetting issues
ktm 380 1999 is heavy on juice and big flat spot in middle running 168 main not sure on the rest looking to get better ks per tank and power thought out the rev range. any tips ?

Do you have the stock jetting at all? In other words do you know what the factory settings are.

The main jet was 170 stock. Not sure about the others.

Stock jetting for one of those bikes

170 main
48 pilot
1.5 turns out on the pilot screw
Jet needle 3rd clip position from the top


Because it has a flat spot you would be using the throttle more which might be the reason why its heavy on fuel. But as Luni said they are heavy on fuel to begin with

Try this out and tell us how you go

50 pilot
1.5 turns out on the pilot screw
168 main jet
Jet needle 2nd clip position up from the bottom

It sounds rich. but flat spotting is normally cause by lean jetting at times.

If its got a flat spot in the middle , i,d be looking at needle and or clip position 1st
