Post Hour meter???
Hey guys, can someone please help me? I'm trying to fit an hour meter to my Husky but because it has the coil pack directly mounted to the spark plug, there is no spark plug lead to wrap the pick-up wire around, so it won't read a signal. Is there another way around this?
Thanks

yes, but it doesn't work. When I asked the guy at Husqvarna about it he said that they use the same dash across the range but not all features work on all the bikes. So I asked if there was any way to get it to work and he said "no, you'll have to get an after market one".

I'm sure as long as the red wire is cable tied to the plug lead and the other wire is earthed it should work ..

My bike has coil pack like urs and it worked ..

Maybe I'm wrong as mine has a connector which plugs into that plug Cap , Just went for a look but can't see anything in there without removing the tank .. All I see is mud and wires cables ATM

Hey Saff, not sure about the hour metre, but be very careful when washing your bike, try and keep the water away from the speedo. The one on my 310 died at 2400km due to water getting in it. If you have a look at cafehusky.com there is heaps of people that had the same problem.

After quite some time stuffing around and getting nothing but dead ends from a heap of bike shops and suppliers, I finally contacted Husqvarna Australia directly. They were really helpful and told me that Motominder make and hour meter to suit a pencil coil type setup, rather than wrapping around your spark plug cable, it connects to your killswitch wire. So I bought one. Works a treat! :D
