Post Why dont you like to share your tacks with new riders?
Dr meslow

Why do you frown on sharing riding spots with our brother trail riders?

Quote from From Meslow on tra on having a beginner riding and showning some new people around'
"You short on mates , whay not call it the chook chase 2 , open a website , tracks will soon be fugged in no time , and the place closed down .

I may be wrong ."

let them fend for themselves Katoom!! There is a few of the newbread that expect to be given it all occasion1 , You've showed 2 blokes a few tracks out there and there going back time and time again hitting it and taking out some of there mates who will do the same director !

who was out there holding our hands when we went exploring to find the gold dontknow ? That's right we did the hard yards and they come in to take the cream :fart

You'll take'em out there and some them your loop and they'll be back to destroy it :arrow: ! it'll become real popular and get smashed, Then closed

they learn more doing it themselves! "Give a man a fish you feed him for a day, Teach that man to fish and your feeding him for the rest of his life"

Think they cap the chookchase at 300/350 riders, 50% with gps dontknow
They ride all YOUR tracks.
Got a big job ahead of you.

yep thank christ adba had a ride in my area and cleared 30 klms of track saved me three months of labour and i couldn't have had the impact the bobcat did..

that was a month ago and the woodenbong mega forest is starting to close in on it allready and it was at least 4 bikes wide..

another 8 weeks it will be S/T again 12 weeks i will be clearing the lantana and it will be covered in logs again as well...

Donna Here:

Lantana has closed alot of tracks out at Mt Mee from the lack of use they get since the ranger scare....I hear you Robo.
I was pleased to see some vid of a track we did in the pine forest a little while back...we made it very obvious so loads of bikes would keep using it and keep it open.

im with you there donna... that pine forest has a lot of tracks in there now. and in time they will be prime tracks. Maybe they will get over used and rutted up and so on but they will just become more fun an amusing for video cameras... i have some secret tracks at mt mee. some people may no them some may now. but i dont show people them because there so far from what people want to ride with a lot of fire trail in between the decent trail's

every one to them self's i guess with this topic. but if it doesn't get ridden it will disappear even for the people who no where they are.

Mark and I have been exploring out at the Kennil and finding our own tracks - we intend on showing a few others the tracks we've found and want other explorers - soon to be posted. The guys on this sight are not likely to go and f%ck the tracks so I don't worry about this.

I don't agree with much of meslows ramblings but the tracks out there are primo - way better than some other crap around and need a bit of respect as such, things such as:
- no endless spinning of wheels when stuck on hills;
- Choosing which way to go when tracks are super wet;
- no acting like a tosser through imbil/kenilworth;
- DO NOT piss any farmers of - we've stopped and chatted to one of them out there and he agreed that all it took is a few to leave gates open or piss them off and they will close off some of the good access points - he was happy if we did the right thing.
